About Carah

I am a trauma-informed Psychotherapist, also trained as a Registered Yoga Teacher, Yoga Nidra and Second Degree Reiki Healer. I believe it’s important to integrate body-mind-spirit into my work to assist you in finding your way back to your true self and meeting your highest potential, in all areas of your life. It is my belief that behavior does not define you as a person, however behavior can be a symptom of a deep seated concern. I am passionate about helping you heal through unearthing and resolving these concerns so that you may grow into your true self and obtain wellness.

I obtained my Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University and have trained with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute and the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Additionally, I have training in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral and Brief Solution Focused therapies.

My clinical experience includes 15 years working in Valley agencies with issues such as women’s health, body image, reproductive challenges, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, self-esteem building, and mood disorders. I’d love to walk along side you on this journey to self-empowerment and transformation! Namaste

About Jessica

As a practitioner, I am passionate about working with my clients to promote an integration of the mind, body, and spirit. I view restoring a sense of safety and confidence in your body as a crucial part of therapy and look forward to working with you as you begin to explore what this means to you!

I believe that many symptoms experienced in the present are connected to experiences from the past, and that further exploring these experiences can lead to increased connection and awareness in the present. Many of the therapeutic approaches that I use in my practice involve building a deeper sense of self-awareness and reconnection with the emotions, sensations, and perceptions that are present in your body.

I am currently under the supervision of Carah Elizabeth, LPC. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, with a concentration in Trauma and Sexual Empowerment. I began my social worker career as an advocate for women’s sexual and reproductive health, and have continued to bring these experiences into my practice as a clinician. I enjoy working with individuals on issues related to body image, sexuality, reproductive health, eating disorders, self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, and relationships. I believe that when accurately informed, each person has a right to make their own decisions about their bodies and their sexuality, and promote a sex-positive treatment approach to concerns regarding intimacy, arousal, and desire.

I understand that healing looks different to each person coming into my office. I hope to create a space where you can deepen your understanding of your own experiences and feel empowered to work towards your therapeutic goals.

Jessica is working under the direct supervision of Carah Elizabeth, MA, LPC and the Clinical Supervision of Joel Covert, LCSW.
